Card Description

Datu Sikatuna was a 16th-century ruler of Bohol remembered for his alliance with Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi. In 1565, the two performed a blood compact, or sandugo, a ritual that came to symbolize their agreement of friendship and peace. The event became one of the most enduring episodes associated with the early Spanish presence in the Philippines. This card is part of the Rulers of Lusong set from the Maharlika Series.
