History:

Tamblot was a babaylan (native priest) and spiritual leader of the Boholano people in the Philippines. In 1621, he led a major uprising known as the Tamblot Uprising against Spanish colonial rule and the spread of Christianity. His revolt was fueled by a desire to restore indigenous beliefs and resist Spanish oppression. Although ultimately defeated, Tamblot is remembered as one of the early Filipino heroes who fought for native identity and freedom.
