Card Description

Urduja, the legendary warrior princess of the Kingdom of Tawalisi, appears in the Rihla of 14th-century traveler Ibn Battuta. The chronicler encountered Urduja at Kaylukari, the port city under her rule, and described her as a formidable princess skilled in warfare who commanded warriors of her own. Tradition tells that many warriors and princes sought her hand in marriage, but she refused to marry any man who could not defeat her in combat, and none succeeded. Leading her Kinalakian warriors, Urduja became the most celebrated figure associated with Tawalisi and one of the best-known warrior heroines in Philippine tradition. This card is part of the Kingdom of Tawalisi set from the Maharlika Series.
